What it is
One app with two doors. A customer comes in with a mobile number and a one-time code. A salon owner comes in with a login id and a password we send by SMS once the shop is approved.
Salons are independent businesses. They set their prices, their timings and their payment rules; we take no fee from the customer at all. What we run is the booking — the list of what is on offer, the grid of when it is free, and the messages that travel between the two phones.
A shop that has not finished filling in its details does not appear anywhere, and cannot be booked. That is deliberate: nobody should be able to book a half-listed shop.
How a slot is decided
A shop's opening window is cut into slots of its own chosen length — commonly thirty minutes. What you have asked for decides how many of those you need. A forty-five minute service on a thirty-minute grid takes two slots in a row, and both must have a seat free, or the time is not offered to you at all.
Each slot holds as many people as the shop has chairs. Two chairs means two people at 2:30, not three. When two phones tap the same last seat at the same moment, the check and the claim happen in a single step, so exactly one of them wins — and the other is told immediately, rather than finding out on arrival.
Past times are gone. Closed days, weekly offs and holidays never appear. So does anything beyond how far ahead that shop chooses to take bookings.
What you pay, and when
The shop decides. It may take everything at the counter, ask for the whole bill online, or ask for a token in advance and the rest when you arrive.
Where a token is asked for, the amount comes from the shop's own rule — a percentage of the bill or a flat figure — and it is worked out on our side, never sent by the app you are holding. A percentage is rounded up to the nearest ten rupees, and a token larger than the bill simply becomes the bill.
That token is collected by SuperSalon, not by the shop. It is what lets a salon with no digital payments of its own still hold a slot for you. Your booking then carries four figures: what was asked, what was actually paid, our cut of it, and what is still owed at the counter.
Most shops that ask for a token ask for 25% of the bill, and the rest at the counter. You see the figure on the booking screen, before you confirm anything, and you are never charged before that.
We take no fee from customers. Our cut comes out of what we collect on the shop's behalf, and never exceeds it.
If you cancel
Cancelling in the app is free. Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot and anything paid online is refunded in full. Later than that, or once the time has passed, it is not.
Whenever a booking stops being live — you cancel, the shop declines, the visit is finished, or you did not turn up — the slot is released the same second. There is nothing for anyone to remember to do.
What you are told
The shop hears about your request within seconds, on its phone, with an SMS behind it in case the notification does not land. You hear back the moment it accepts or declines.
Half an hour before your slot, one reminder goes out. Exactly one — the booking is marked as reminded before the message is sent, so a restart or an overlapping sweep cannot produce a second. Cancelled bookings are skipped, and a slot that has already started is never reminded about.
If you run the shop
Verify your number, send your details, and we approve you. A login id such as SLN4821 and a
password arrive by SMS; you fill in the shop yourself — name, address, description, and the pin on the
map from your own GPS.
From then on it is your rulebook. Services and prices, opening hours, weekly off, holidays, how many chairs, how far ahead people may book, and whether you want a token in advance. Requests arrive with the customer's name and number on them; one tap accepts, one declines, and declining frees the slot at once.
Every shop also gets a link and a QR code of its own — supersalon.in/s/BH7K2M. Print it on
the mirror. Whoever opens it lands on your shop and nobody else's.
The first fifteen days are free, from the day we approve you. After that the shop pays a monthly plan — from ₹599 a month, settled at approval and set to the size of the shop. The figure, the date it falls due and the bill itself are all in the owner app before a rupee moves; pay it by UPI autopay or from the link on the bill. There is no joining fee, and nothing at all on money you take at your own counter.
A queue is a guess. A booking is a promise the shop can actually keep.
Questions
Does it cost me anything as a customer?
No. The app is free and we take no fee from you. Money you pay online is collected securely and passed on to the salon.
What if the salon never answers?
It stays as awaiting the shop, and you can cancel it yourself at any point without paying anything. The seat is released the moment you do.
I got a six-character code from a salon.
Type it in the app. BH7K2M and the like are salon codes — they open that shop's page
directly, and the app then shows you that salon first.
Can I use one number for both a customer and a salon account?
No. One number is one role. If you run a shop and also want to book as a customer, use a different number for the shop.
Is it on the Play Store?
Not yet. Android early access is going out to salons and their customers first; the store listing follows.
Book your chair. Skip the wait.
Free for customers. Salons start with 15 days free, then a plan from ₹599 a month.
