Terms of use

How this actually works.

Every line below describes something the app really does — booking, payment, the advance, cancellation and refunds. Nothing here is boilerplate.

🏪

Salons are independent businesses. They set their own prices, timings and payment rules.

💳

Money you pay online is collected securely by SuperSalon and passed on to the salon. We take no fee from you.

Cancelling is free. Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot and money paid online is refunded — later than that, or once the time has passed, it is not.

01

What SuperSalon is

A booking app — the service is given by the salon

  • SuperSalon shows you salons in your city, their services and their free time slots, and lets you book a slot in advance.
  • Every salon on the app is an independent business. It sets its own prices, timings, staff and payment rules.
  • The app books your slot. The service itself is given by the salon, at the salon.
  • Salons are shown city by city. You see the salons of the city you have selected — distance only decides the order they appear in.
  • Listing and booking are free for you. We charge no booking fee and no convenience fee.
02

Your account

One mobile number, OTP login, no password

  • Login is by mobile number and a one-time OTP. There is no password to remember.
  • The OTP is valid for a short time, and only a few wrong attempts are allowed. After that, ask for a new one.
  • One number, one account. Your bookings, spending and ratings all belong to that number.
  • Never share your OTP. Nobody from SuperSalon or from a salon will ever ask you for it.
  • Keep the number reachable — booking updates and reminders come to it by notification and SMS.
  • Your name is needed so the salon knows who is coming. Email is optional. Both can be changed any time from Profile.
  • You can log out whenever you like; logging in again needs a fresh OTP.
03

Booking a slot

Confirmed at once, held for you alone

  • Choose your services, a date and a start time. Only the times that are genuinely free at that salon are shown.
  • A booking is confirmed straight away — the salon does not have to accept it first.
  • Each salon decides how soon and how far ahead you may book. Most keep it at 30 minutes from now, up to 14 days ahead; some choose a different window.
  • Your slot is held on one chair or one staff member, for the full length of your services. Nobody else can be booked into it.
  • The end time shown is worked out from the salon’s own service durations. It is an estimate — a real service can run a little longer.
  • The services, prices and durations are saved as they were on the day you booked. If the salon revises its rates later, your existing booking does not change.
  • Your name and mobile number are shared with that salon, so they can reach you about the booking.
  • Please reach a few minutes early. Arriving late can shorten your service or cost you the slot, because the next customer’s time starts on the clock.
  • A salon may be closed on a holiday it has marked. Those dates simply do not appear while booking.
04

Ways to pay

At the salon, fully online, or an advance

  • A salon can offer up to three ways to pay. Which ones you see depends on that salon.
  • Pay at salon — nothing is paid now. The whole bill is settled at the counter after the service.
  • Pay online (full) — the whole bill is paid before the visit.
  • Advance booking — a part of the bill is paid now, the rest at the salon.
  • A salon that has not set up online payment can only take Pay at salon. That is normal, and the booking is just as valid.
  • Whatever the mode, the money is the salon’s bill. SuperSalon adds nothing of its own to it.
05

The advance (booking token)

How the up-front amount is worked out

  • An advance is a token paid at booking time to hold your slot. The salon decides its own rule.
  • The rule is either a percent of the bill — say 20% of ₹850 — or a fixed amount, say ₹100 on every booking.
  • A percentage advance is rounded up to the next ₹10. 20% of ₹850 is ₹170; 20% of ₹855 becomes ₹180.
  • Some salons ask for an advance only above a minimum bill. Below that amount the booking is made with no advance at all.
  • The advance is never more than the bill itself.
  • Before you confirm, the screen always shows both figures — for example “Pay ₹170 now, ₹680 at the salon”. Nothing is taken that you were not shown.
  • The figure you were shown at booking time is the one that stands. If the salon changes its advance rule tomorrow, your booking keeps its old figure.
  • Until an advance is actually paid, the slot is not held — it stays on sale to everyone else, and the chair goes to whoever’s money lands first.
  • The balance is paid at the salon after the service. Anything extra you take there is added to the bill at the counter.
06

How online payment works

Through a secure payment gateway, confirmed automatically

  • Tap Pay now on the booking and a secure payment page opens. Pay by UPI, card or netbanking — whichever you prefer.
  • The money is collected by SuperSalon, not by the salon directly, and we pass the salon its share afterwards.
  • Confirmation is automatic. There is no reference number to type in and nobody has to check anything by hand — the booking updates itself within a minute or two.
  • If a payment does not go through, the booking simply stays unpaid. Open it again and tap Pay now, or pay at the salon instead.
  • If your money left your account but the booking still says unpaid, wait a few minutes and refresh before paying again — banks are sometimes slow to confirm.
  • Never pay for a booking that is cancelled or rejected, and never pay anyone who asks you to send money outside the app.
07

Cancelling a booking

Free from the app, until the date has passed

  • You can cancel from the booking screen. The app charges nothing for a cancellation.
  • A booking can be cancelled until its date has passed. A booking dated earlier can no longer be cancelled.
  • Please cancel as early as you can — the slot goes straight back to other customers.
  • A salon can also cancel or reject a booking when it has no choice — staff on leave, a power cut, the shop shut. You get a notification, with their reason.
  • Money already paid is held by SuperSalon, so a refund is ours to make. Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot and it comes back; later than that, it does not. See Refunds below.
08

Not turning up

What a no-show costs

  • If you do not reach for a booked slot, the salon can mark the booking as No show.
  • An advance on a no-show is not returned — the salon held that chair empty for you and turned others away. The money goes to the salon in its next settlement.
  • Repeated no-shows, or bookings made with no intention of coming, can get your number blocked from booking.
  • Cannot make it? One tap to cancel costs you nothing and keeps your record clean.
09

Refunds

Cancel 24 hours ahead and the money comes back

  • Money paid online is held by SuperSalon until the salon is settled, so a refund is made by us rather than by the salon.
  • Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot and whatever you paid online — an advance or the full bill — is refunded to you.
  • Cancel less than 24 hours before your slot and there is no refund. The chair was held for you, and at that notice the salon can rarely give it to anybody else.
  • Once your booked time has passed, there is no refund — whether you cancelled late or did not turn up at all.
  • The 24 hours are counted back from the start time of your booking, not from the day you booked.
  • Where the salon cancels a confirmed booking after you have paid, the amount comes back to you in full, however close to the slot that happens.
  • A refund goes back the same way you paid, to the same account or card. It usually takes 3–5 working days to appear — that part is your bank, not us.
  • Ask the salon first if you think a refund is owed — call them from the booking screen. If you cannot sort it out with them, contact us and we will look at it.
  • Every case, set out one by one, is on the cancellation & refund policy. If we did not settle it to your satisfaction, the grievance redressal page is the next step.
10

Prices and the final bill

The salon makes the bill, at the salon

  • Prices in the app are the salon’s own prices, entered by the salon.
  • The final bill is made at the salon. Extra services, products, or a longer treatment than expected can change it.
  • Any tax the salon has to charge is part of its bill. Ask the salon for a receipt.
  • The amounts the app shows you — total, advance, balance — are there so you know what to expect, and are recorded against your booking.
11

Ratings and reviews

After a completed service, once per salon

  • You can rate a salon only after a booking there has been marked completed.
  • One rating per salon, once. A second or tenth visit to the same salon does not carry a fresh rating — that is what keeps the stars honest.
  • Write about the service you actually received. Your rating shows with your name.
  • Reviews carrying abuse, personal attacks, false claims or another business’s promotion can be removed.
  • A salon’s star rating is worked out from all its ratings together, and moves as new ones come in.
12

Notifications, SMS and reminders

What we send, and when

  • Your OTP comes by SMS.
  • Booking confirmed, cancelled or rejected, payment verified or not received, service completed — each one reaches you as a notification.
  • A reminder goes out about 30 minutes before your slot.
  • App notifications can be turned off from your phone’s settings. OTP and essential booking messages still come — they are part of the service, not marketing.
13

Location and your data

What we keep, and who sees it

  • Location is used to work out which city you are in, so we can show its salons. You can also pick the city by hand instead.
  • We keep your name, mobile number, optional email, your city, and your booking history.
  • Your name and number are given to a salon only when you book there, so they can serve you.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising.
  • Payments run through a certified payment gateway. We never see or store your UPI PIN, card number or bank password — those are entered on the gateway’s own page, never in this app.
  • Ask us and your account can be deleted. Booking records a salon needs for its own accounts stay with that salon.
  • The whole of this is set out at length in our privacy policy.
14

What the salon is responsible for

Service, hygiene, staff and price are theirs

  • The service, its quality, hygiene, the staff, the products used and the price charged are the salon’s responsibility.
  • Photos, service names, prices, timings and the address are filled in by the salon itself.
  • If you have any allergy, skin or hair condition, tell the salon before the service begins.
  • SuperSalon brings you and the salon together and keeps the record of the booking. A complaint about the service is first for the salon to settle — we help where we can, but we do not perform the service.
15

Fair use

Book what you mean to keep

  • Book only when you intend to come. Blocked slots that go empty cost the salon, and cost the customer who could not get that time.
  • Do not use somebody else’s mobile number, false information, or a payment reference that is not yours.
  • Do not misuse the app to harass a salon, or to promote another business through reviews.
  • Accounts doing any of this can be blocked without notice.
16

Changes to these terms

Always readable here, and in the app

  • The app grows, and these terms will be updated with it. The current version is always on this page, and in the app at Profile → About the app.
  • Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
  • These terms are read under Indian law.
  • A booking is an agreement between you and the salon. SuperSalon is the platform that carries it.
