What we keep, and who sees it.

A booking needs a name, a number and a time. That is close to all we hold — and this page says exactly where each piece of it goes.

We do not sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to anyone. There is no advertising business here to feed.

The salon sees you only when you book

Your name and number reach a salon at the moment you book there — not before, and not any other salon.

We never see your PIN or card

Those are typed on the payment gateway’s own page. They never pass through the app or our servers.

01

What we hold

Everything in this list is either something you typed in yourself, or something a booking cannot be made without.

Mobile number
How you sign in, and where booking updates and reminders are sent. One number is one account.
Your name
So the salon knows who is coming.
Email
Optional. You can leave it blank and everything still works.
Your city
Which city’s salons you are shown. You can set it by hand instead of using location.
Booking history
What you booked, where, when, what it cost and what was paid — including the prices as they stood on the day.
Ratings you leave
Shown publicly on that salon’s page, with your name.
Notification token
The address your device gives us so an alert can reach it. It carries no personal detail, and a dead one is deleted automatically.
02

Why we hold it

  • To make the booking work. The salon has to know who is coming and when; you have to be told when it is confirmed.
  • To let you sign in. The number is the account, and the OTP is checked against it.
  • To keep your own record. Your past bookings, what you paid, and what is still owed at the counter.
  • To settle money correctly. A payment has to be tied to a booking, and a refund to the payment it reverses.

That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

03

Location

The app asks for location for one purpose: to work out which city you are in, so it can show that city’s salons and order them by how near they are.

  • You can refuse the permission and pick your city by hand. Nothing else in the app stops working.
  • We do not follow your location in the background. It is read while you are using the app, when you ask it to find salons near you.
  • A salon owner’s location is used once more — to drop their own shop on the map when they set it up.
04

What the salon is given

When you book, that salon is given your name, your mobile number and the booking itself — the services, the time and the amounts. They need it to serve you and to reach you if something changes.

  • Only the salon you booked at is given it. Browsing a salon’s page hands them nothing.
  • Salons are independent businesses, and what they do with a customer’s contact detail afterwards is their own responsibility under their own obligations.
  • Booking records a salon needs for its own accounts stay with that salon, even if you later delete your SuperSalon account.
05

Payments

Money paid online is collected by SuperSalon through a certified payment gateway, and passed on to the salon afterwards.

  • We never see or store your UPI PIN, your full card number or your bank password. Those are entered on the gateway’s own secure page, never inside the app.
  • What we keep is what a receipt needs: the amount, whether it succeeded, when, and the gateway’s own reference for it.
  • A refund goes back the same way you paid, to the same account or card.
06

Notifications and SMS

  • Your OTP comes by SMS. So does an important booking message if the app notification fails to land.
  • Booking confirmed, cancelled or rejected, payment received, service completed — each reaches you as an app notification, and a reminder goes out about 30 minutes before your slot.
  • App notifications can be turned off in your phone’s settings. OTP and essential booking messages still come — they are part of the service, not marketing.
  • We do not send promotional SMS.
07

If you run a salon

A salon account holds rather more, because a shop is a public listing and a payee.

  • Shown publicly: your salon’s name, address, map location, photos, services, prices and timings. You put all of it in yourself and can change it whenever you like.
  • Kept privately: your login id, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your contact number, and any documents you upload to prove the shop is yours.
  • Payout details — your UPI id or bank account — are used only to send you the money we collected on your behalf, and each payout snapshots where it actually went.
  • Customer names and numbers reach you only for bookings made at your own salon.
08

What we never do

  • We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising.
  • We do not pass your number to salons you have not booked with.
  • We do not ask for your OTP. Nobody from SuperSalon or from a salon will ever ask you for it — anyone who does is not us.
  • We do not ask you to pay outside the app, and we never ask for your PIN or card details over a call or a message.
09

How long we keep it

  • Your account and its bookings stay while the account exists.
  • Payment and settlement records are kept as long as the accounts they belong to require — that is money that has moved, and it has to reconcile.
  • Notification tokens are dropped as soon as a device stops accepting them.
  • OTPs are short-lived by design and are not readable once used.
10

Seeing, correcting and deleting

  • Correct it yourself. Your name, email and city can be changed any time from Profile in the app.
  • Ask for a copy. Write to us and we will tell you what is held against your number.
  • Ask us to delete it. Your account can be deleted on request. Booking records a salon needs for its own accounts, and payment records that have to reconcile, stay where they are.

Use the WhatsApp number or the phone number below for any of these — it is the same team.

11

Keeping it safe

  • Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted.
  • Owner passwords are stored only as a hash; the plain password is shown to the admin once, when it is generated, and never stored.
  • Signing in needs the OTP sent to your own number, so possession of the number is what protects the account — which is why the OTP must never be shared.
  • No system is perfect. If something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
12

Changes to this policy

  • The app grows, and this policy is updated with it. The current version is always on this page.
  • The date at the top is when it last changed.
  • Related reading: our terms of use, which set out booking, payment, cancellation and refunds in full.
